St John Fisher College is proud to have this month been acknowledged in the media as a high performing school that remains affordable for many families. Principal Catherine Galvin says the recognition comes off the back of a stella year of achievement at the school, with exceptional results across the board.
“For the past five years, 100 percent of students from St John Fisher College have received a Queensland Certificate of Education,” Ms Galvin said.
“This tell us our students have been placed on a learning pathway suitable to both who they are currently, and who they want to become in life beyond school, whether their interests are academically or vocationally geared.
“The college’s 2021 cohort received an ATAR above 60, with 30 per cent achieving an ATAR above 90, and 13 per cent above 95.”
The cohorts top ATAR score was an outstanding 99.55, while the median ATAR of 84.6 shows a marked growth in ATAR attainment.
Ms Galvin said St John Fisher’s strong academic outcomes, combined with an appreciation of vocational experiences, allows students to succeed and thrive in their life beyond the school gates.
“When St John Fisher College student graduate they are real world ready,” she said.
“Our college really is the hidden gem of schools in Brisbane’s northern suburbs and while our fee is certainly competitive, our focus is truly on delivering a curriculum designed to prepare girls for a changing world.
“Along with recently upgraded facilities, including a Design and Hospitality hub, our college is set amongst almost 16 hectares of lush greenspace, which offers an ideal learning environment, free of clutter, for our student's minds to flourish.”
